Digital Products Refund & Returns Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Liminal Lessons sells digital products, including interactive browser-based resources, digital guides, workbooks, downloadable materials, audio resources, and other educational or reflective tools.

Because these products are digital and may be made available immediately after purchase, they cannot be returned in the same way as physical goods. This policy explains when refunds, cancellations, replacements, or other remedies may be available.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights or remedies available to you under applicable consumer law.

1. Change-of-Mind Refunds

Unless a specific product page states otherwise, Liminal Lessons does not ordinarily provide voluntary refunds where:

  • you change your mind after purchasing;
  • you decide that you no longer want or need the product;
  • you purchase the product but do not access or use it;
  • you expected a personal result or outcome that the product does not promise;
  • you fail to review technical requirements or product information that was clearly provided before purchase.

Please review the product description, included materials, access method, technical requirements, and price carefully before completing your order.

Where digital access has already been granted, cancellation may no longer be practically possible.

If you believe you made an accidental purchase and have not accessed, opened, downloaded, or used the product, contact us as soon as reasonably possible. We may review the circumstances and determine whether a discretionary refund is appropriate.

A discretionary refund does not create an obligation to provide the same remedy in other cases.

2. When a Refund or Other Remedy May Be Available

Please contact us if:

  • you were charged more than once for the same purchase;
  • payment was successfully taken, but the product was not delivered, or access was not provided;
  • the product is materially different from the description provided at the time of purchase;
  • the digital product is defective or unusable because of a fault with the product itself;
  • a technical problem originating from Liminal Lessons prevents you from accessing a purchased product, and we are unable to resolve it within a reasonable period;
  • the wrong product was supplied;
  • a refund or other remedy is required under applicable consumer law.

Depending on the circumstances, the appropriate remedy may be restoration of access, replacement, correction of the problem, or a full or partial refund.

We may attempt to resolve an access or technical problem before issuing a refund where doing so is reasonable and does not affect your statutory rights.

3. Duplicate Purchases or Duplicate Charges

If you accidentally purchase the same product more than once, or believe you have been charged more than once for a single order, contact us with:

  • your order number or order numbers;
  • the email address used during checkout; and
  • a brief description of the issue.

Once the duplicate transaction is verified, we will arrange an appropriate refund or correction.

4. Failed Payments and Payment Reversals

If your bank or payment provider shows a charge but Liminal Lessons did not receive a successful order confirmation, the transaction may be a failed or pending payment rather than a completed purchase.

Some failed electronic transactions are automatically reversed by the bank, card network, payment provider, or payment gateway.

If the payment remains charged and you have not received confirmation or access, contact us so that we can check whether an order was created.

You may also need to contact your bank, card issuer, or payment provider, where the funds are being held or reversed by them rather than by Liminal Lessons.

5. Access Problems

If you have successfully purchased a product but cannot access it, contact us before purchasing it again.

For account-based products, please include your order number and the email address used during checkout.

For security reasons, NEVER send us your password, full card number, CVV, PIN, OTP, or other payment authentication information.

Where a product page expressly includes ongoing or lifetime access, Liminal Lessons will make reasonable efforts to maintain the access described on that product page, subject to maintenance, security requirements, technical changes, circumstances outside our reasonable control, and applicable law.

6. Browser-Based Products and Local Data

Some Liminal Lessons products, including The Threshold Atlas, may store user responses or progress locally in your browser rather than within your Liminal Lessons customer account.

Where this is clearly stated in the product instructions:

  • changing devices or browsers may not transfer locally stored responses;
  • clearing browser data may remove locally stored information;
  • customers are responsible for using any provided export or backup feature if they wish to retain a separate copy of their work.

Loss of locally stored responses caused by clearing browser storage, changing devices, browser settings, device failure, or failure to create an available backup will not ordinarily constitute grounds for a refund where the purchased product itself remains accessible and functional.

This does not affect any remedy that may otherwise be required by law.

7. Device and Browser Compatibility

Where a product has particular technical requirements, those requirements will be described on the product page or within the product documentation.

A refund will not ordinarily be provided solely because a customer’s device, browser, software, internet connection, or settings do not meet technical requirements that were clearly disclosed before purchase.

If you are unsure whether your device is compatible, please contact us before purchasing.

8. Educational and Reflective Products

Liminal Lessons products are educational, creative, reflective, or self-exploratory resources. They do not guarantee a particular emotional, personal, professional, financial, therapeutic, spiritual, or other outcome.

Dissatisfaction with a personal outcome, where the product was supplied as described and functions as intended, does not by itself create a right to a refund.

Nothing in this section limits any legal rights relating to a defective, deficient, misleading, or incorrectly supplied product.

9. Unauthorized Transactions

If you believe a purchase was made using your payment method without your authorization, contact your bank or payment provider promptly and notify Liminal Lessons at liminallessons@gmail.com.

We may request reasonable order information to help identify the transaction.

Do not send passwords, OTPs, PINs, CVVs, or full payment-card details.

Your rights relating to unauthorized electronic transactions may also be governed by your bank, card issuer, payment provider, applicable payment-network rules, and applicable law.

10. How to Request a Refund or Remedy

Email: liminallessons@gmail.com

Please include:

  • your name;
  • the email address used for the purchase;
  • your order number, if available;
  • the name of the product;
  • a short description of the issue; and
  • any relevant screenshot showing the technical or transaction problem, where useful.

You do not need to provide private journal entries, Atlas responses, reflective answers, passwords, or confidential personal material to request purchase support.

We may ask for additional information where reasonably necessary to verify the order or understand the problem.

11. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, Liminal Lessons will initiate it to the original payment method unless another method is required or agreed.

The time taken for the funds to appear in your account may depend on the payment gateway, card network, bank, or payment provider and may be outside the control of Liminal Lessons.

Currency conversion rates, foreign transaction charges, bank charges, or other third-party fees are determined by the relevant financial provider and may not be recoverable by Liminal Lessons.

Accepted refunds will be processed without unreasonable delay and in accordance with applicable payment and consumer-protection requirements.

12. No Physical Returns

Liminal Lessons currently sells digital products. There is therefore no physical item to return and no return-shipping process unless a particular product page expressly states otherwise.

13. Complaints and Grievance Redressal

For purchase complaints, refund requests, or customer grievances, contact:

Grievance Officer: Ru at Liminal Lessons
Email: liminallessons@gmail.com
Website: https://liminallessons.com

We aim to acknowledge consumer complaints within 48 hours of receipt and to resolve them within one month, in accordance with applicable requirements.

If your concern relates to a payment-provider or banking issue outside our control, we may also direct you to the relevant provider while continuing to assist with any information available to us.

14. Applicable Law

This policy is intended to operate consistently with applicable consumer-protection and e-commerce laws. Where any provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal right available to a consumer, the applicable legal requirement will prevail.

Liminal Lessons reserves the right to update this policy where its products, payment methods, business practices, or applicable legal requirements change.

Changes will be published on this page together with an updated revision date.
